We now continue our tour of the old west town of Cactus Creek. You might want to get a drink because we still have a lot to cover. And, in case we cross the path of Ike the Bounty Hunter again, you might want it to be a strong drink ~

(Cactus Creek is a scale model western town that I have created in my basement).

News Story ~ From the Red Cloud Chief Press. (Cactus Creek's Newspaper)

Chief Rain In The Face Dead

June 20, 1886

It has been learned that the Chief of the Waca Waca Indian Tribe has died. It is reported that the Chief went into the woods and sat on a hollow tree stump to relieve himself only to discover that the inside of the stump was, in fact, one big Hornet's nest. The chief was found with over 270 stings in his...bottom end.

Rain In The Face had been tribal chief for well over 20-years. The news came as a shock to Ike, The Bounty Hunter. Ike remarked, "Old Rain was a pretty good savage as they go."

The Chief's remains were raised on stilts and put by the river's edge, his favorite place. His weapons and other favorite processions were put with him. His weapons were his slingshot, a few rocks for it and his knife with the rusted blade. Two years ago during an interview with this newspaper, the Chief had stated, "Me a lover, not a fighter. Me nice guy. No hurt nobody."

Three days after the Chief's funeral, several braves went to the burial spot to check on the chief and found that the stilts were broken and the chief's body was on the ground. They repaired the structure but several days later it happened again. Again they fixed it and a few days later it happened again. This time the chief's body was gone. It was believed by the tribe that the chief has returned and is haunting the woods. The tribesmen are all staying in their teepee's with the flaps locked. Ike went out to investigate and told the Indians that beavers chewed through the legs of the platform and that the chief's body simply fell into the river and has floated away.

Cactus Creek Sheriff's Office and Jail ~

Our next stop is at the jailhouse. With Ike the Bounty Hunter rounding up all the outlaws and highwaymen in a hundred mile area of town, our sheriff, Brewster Cogburn fishes a lot down at the creek. But he is still pulling a paycheck so he dosn't really care.

The jail was built with four cells. It's not very comfortable but, hey, it's a jail.

-

The sheriff's name is Brewster Cogburn. The sign painter found out that Brewster has a cousin down in Texas who's a U.S. Marshal by the name of Reubin Cogburn and everyone calls him "Rooster". So the painter put that name on the sign as a little joke. But, since Brewster can't read or write, he's never noticed it.

The office area isn't very big. But the townspeople figured with Ike on the trail most of the time and the sheriff out fishing all day, why have a big sheriff's office?

There's a desk and chair and a board on the wall for wanted posters.

-

The other side has a heat stove and gun rack. The triggers on the guns are covered up so Ike can't play with them. Last time he shot off the earlobe of a whiskey peddler that was walking down the street.

The cell block. (I made the cell doors to open and close).

-

The cells are really small. But, as Ike puts it, "They're gonna hang anyway. They might as well practice laying down.

-

The jail building is made of adobe and sits on a dirt mound.

-

Sometimes sheriff Cogburn will sleep in one of the cells at night when there's no prisoners. Boys from town will sneak in and close and lock the cell door and in the morning the sheriff has to yell out of one of the windows to get somebody to come in and let him out. He really hates those kids.

Hangman's Gallows ~

Behind the jailhouse is the hangman's gallows.

The last prisoner to be hanged so far was a bad one. Bull Slade was lead out of the back door of the jail with his hands tied but on his way to the gallows he still managed to kick the sheriff between the legs, bit three townspeople and spit on Mrs. J.F. Bradley. Once the noose was around his neck, the preacher, Rev. Fletcher told Bull that he could go to hell. Bull yelled back, "Yeh, when I get there I'll be standing next to your mother!" Once the trap was sprung, it took Bull's legs almost 3 and a half minutes to stop kicking. He was a mean one.

July 4th Outting Saw Some Problems

July 5, 1887

The July 4th festivities at the Cactus Creek picnic grounds by the creek got off to a good start on Saturday morning. However, it sort of went downhill throughout the day. Citizens began to arrive around 9:15 am. The games were all set up by noon. The first event was the Three-Legged Race. It went well untill George Phillips got off course somewhat and endded up in the creek with his partner, Betsy Miller. The race was won by Jack Nichols. Some in the crowd yelled foul because of the fact that Jack actually has three legs. But the judges proclaimed him the winner anyway.

Bobby Claymore won the Ring Toss game. He put three rings around the handle on the water pump. This wasn't the target selected but as Bobby is blind, they let him win.

Ike the Bounty Hunter spent $87.00 at the kissing booth. But the girls had to be blindfolded and a barrel of gasoline was brought in for them to gargle with after each kiss.

At the shooting contest Ike was the winner. He shot all 10 cans and 5 bottles off of the fence plus Wiley Bracken's horse, Billy Duff's cigar and Clair Witney's wife, Clementine. Thankfully, Clementine was hit in the buttocks and since that is the largest area of her body, Doc Adams said she would recover fairly soon.

The fireworks began at 8:00 pm and was a big show. It went on untill 8:35 when the men had to bale water to put out the fire at Ross Martin's henhouse. The hens, though shaken up a bit, all survived. The next morning Ross found all the eggs from his chickens were hard boiled.

Eveyone seemed to have had a good time. When asked about her experience, Clementine Witney said, "Yea, I know, I got shot in the rear by Ike. But remember last year when he shot Bob Randall and Teddy Somers, they died. So I have to stand for a few weeks. It could have been worse." Clementine is such a good sport.

Livery Stable, Harness Shop & Blacksmith ~

At the end of the block is the livery stable, harness shop and the blackmith.

You can rent a horse or a rig at the livery. Horses are shod and supplies are sold.

The O.K. Corral is at the livery stable.

Just climb the ladder to the loft and you'll see where the stable boy, Randy Grimes stays.

Randy has a rope bed, table and lamp. And there's an outhouse just down the block. What more could a young boy of 17 want?

Randy can go up the ladder or he has his own entrance around back up these stairs.

One day Ike the Bounty Hunter came by and saw two men sitting on this fence arguing. All Ike heard was both men yelling, "No, you did! No, you did! No, you did!" After about two minutes of this Ike pulled his revolver and shot both men in the foot and said, "No! I did! Now you have something to take up your time. Like seeing the doc."

The blacksmith and the harness shop is right next door.

The back of the blacksmith's shop is where he fires up to make the horseshoes.

He's got a couple of horseshoes there right now.

Wooo! I see that Ike the Bounty Hunter is leaving the stables on the trail of another outlaw. I asked Ike once what the thrill was going after outlaws all the time? He replied, "Well, campin' out under the stars and cookin' your own grub over a campfire, and seein' the countryside. Oh, and shooting the outlaws is really fun too!"

Mail Race Less Than Hoped For

January 5, 1886

Yesterday the Cactus Creek Stage Lines and the stage coach from that other town was set to race from Cactus Creek to Deadwood. The winner would be awarded the mail contract. This means a great deal of money for whom ever has the contract. The coaches lined up at the starting line on Main Street and waited for the signal to begin. A shot was fired and the coaches were off. They raced out of town and through the valley. News came this morning that the stage coaches had arrived in Winton, Oklahoma. It seems that not one of the blockheads in this town had realized that the coaches had left town going in the wrong direction. They are on their way back now. They will hold another race next week to see if they get it right this time.

Cactus Creek School ~

Our next stop is at the schoolhouse. It's the typical one-room schoolhouse with a bellfry.

The bell rings three times a day. At the start of school in the morning, at lunchtime to return to classes and in the afternoon when school lets out.

-

The school teaches grades one through six. The folks here about figure that is all the schooling the youngins need. And they are so right. College is so over rated.

-

The classroom is cozy enough.

-

There's a back door that leeds to the playground.

-

-

Miss. Long is the teacher here. No one really knows her first name. She's addressed only as Miss. Long out of respect. (Actually, Miss. Long was my real kindergarten teacher back in 1955. I've always remembered her. But I can't remember her first name. Back then we called our teachers Miss. or Mrs. Not like today. I thought as a rememberance, I would use Miss. Long's name here).

George and Abe is over the blackboard where they belong. (This is actually a real blackboard. I used blackboard paint to create it. The chalk on the tray was a real job. It's a real peace of chalk that I sanded down on a bench sander to the proper size. I went through 5 or 6 pieces of chalk before I got it right).

Books line the shelves in the front corner. The only light in the building are the wall candles and a karosine lamp on Miss. Long's desk.

Like the other buildings in town, the school is heated by a woodburning stove. 14-year old Tommy Tucker has the job of firing up the stove on chilly mornings.

A dunce cap and stool sits at the back of the school room.

-

If one of the pupils miss-behaves during class, he or she, (in most cases, it's a he), must sit on the stool in the corner behind the door while wearing the dunce cap on his, or her, head for one hour. Little 9 year old Preston Fullbright in most cases gets this honor.

Through the back door kids run out at recess to the playground, or to go to the outhouse.

-

Out in the side yard is a well for water.

-

The playground is out there as well. Sometimes Ike the Bounty Hunter comes by and has races on the sliding board with the kids. But he's a poor loser and stomps off in a huff.

The school has a double outhouse. Boys and Girls. There's a lye bucket so that when your finished, you simply drop a scooper full of lye down the hole.

-

Each side has a regular size hole for adults and also a flip down smaller hole for kids.

-

One day someone left the smaller hole lid up and 8 year old Billy Broscoe was in such a hurry that he didn't notice it. Well, Billy is a little on the small side and when he sat down quickly, he fell through the hole. It took several men 20-minutes to get him out. It seems that billy found three silver dollars down there and kept swimming around for more. Now it's Miss. Long's job to keep an eye on Billy when he goes out there. Everyone is worried he may try to see if he can get more money.

So, that's the school. On the other side is the Cactus Creek graveyard.

News Story ~

Kids Frightened Out of Cemetery

November 3, 1889

The five teenage troublemakers that has been vandalizing the Cactus Creek Graveyard for the last few weeks have been apprehended. Right around 1:15 am last night, The five boys, all between the ages of 14 and 17 years old and who thought of themselves as roudys, entered the cemetery and began pulling up flowers and pushing over gravestones. All of a sudden, a large white figure rose up from behind the Mitchel monument and began wailing and running toward the group of boys. The vandals rans as fast as they could for home. It wasn't hard to find them as townsmen only had to follow the trail of wet spots left in the dirt. Yep! You guessed it! All five of the brave little fellas pee'ed themselves all the way home. Oh, by the way, that ghostly figure was, Ike the Bounty Hunter. After a meeting at the town hall, the boys were made to repair the damage that they had done. Ike the Bounty Hunter was put in charge and sat on a gravestone with a shotgun full of rock salt. When one of the boys called out to Ike that the gravestone he was picking up fell back on his arm, Ike told him, "Get to work! You can go see the Doc when your done."

Town Cemetery ~

The cemetery is at the end of a dead end street. No pun intended. There's a cemetery shed and that fellow there keeps an eye on things. No one knows his name. They just call him Mr. Bones.

Actually, someone in town found the skeleton out on the prarie and brought to town. Some kids put it together and stood it at the shed. Ike the Bounty Hunter donated his old hat and gunbelt to finish off the effect.

The cemetery is a little on the spooky side. Even the tree is dead.

Jack Miller's Horse win's the race

Wednesday, April 6, 1883

Yesterday, the annual horse races were held on Main Street. There were 27 horses entered in the race for a grand prize of $50.00. Buddy Jenkins' horse, "Feathers" is blind and has a bad back but he entered it anyway. So did Philo Williamson who entered his horse, "Barrowed Time" who only turns to the left...no one knows why.

When the starting shot was fired they were off. Barrowed Time ran in a circle to the left 17-times untill the end of the race. It looked pretty stupid actually. Feathers ran down Main Street and straight into the pond at the park. Jack Miller's horse, "Windy" ran the entire course and was deemed the winner. It was really unfair to the others. Windy is an ex-cavalry horse that was once shot in the rump and runs like the wind every time he hears a shot fired. Thus the name, "Windy."

Town Bathhouse ~

Cactus Creek has a bathhouse. A shower is 10c and there is even hot and cold water.

Lester Morehouse runs the place. He's a little on the strange side but performs his duties pretty well.

-

First, Lester heats a bucket of water over an open firepit.

-

Then he climbs the ladder and gets onto the lower roof in back.

-

Then he pours the hot water into the barrel marked "Hot". He performs the same act with the cold water. The pipes coming out of each barrel go into the shower heads in the shower stalls. It's all done with gravity. (Actually, when making this setup, I used solder for the pipes. They bend easy and work really well).

-

Lester bought the bathhouse from the widow of the last owner. Seems the guy got himself shot while looking through the cracks in the wall boards to see the saloon girls taking their showers.

-

No one's in there right now. Let's check it out.

In the winter it's a little cold. But that's life!

-

The first little room you go in is where you undress.

-

This room has soap, tonic and towels.

-

The place kinda reminds you of the camping trips you took as a kid, right?

-

The other side of the room has a mirror on the wall.

-

The back of the structure has two shower stalls.

-

Here's where the pipes from the barrels come together and the hot and cold water can be adjusted. A simply hole in t he floor acts as the drain.

-

This may seem a little crazy, but back in the old west, a setup like this was state-of-the-art.

-

Thursday nights is "Ladies Night". That way the saloon girls and others can make sure that they get their weekly bath.

-

Ike's never seen the inside of the bathhouse. He bathes down at the creek. He claims that hot water will kill you. The townspeople are getting a little upset with him because ever time that Ike takes his bath, he leaves a ring around the creek..

Man Shot on Allen Street Dies

Friday, July 5, 1881

James Parker, the man who was shot by Willaim Dorkiss on Wednesday died early this morning. The two men got into a heated argument about Parker's constant use of the term, "dad gum it". Dorkiss told Parker that it was driving him crazy and if he said it one more time, Dorkiss would shoot him. Parker got angry and remarked, "You can't tell me what I can and can not say, dad gum it!" With that, Dorkiss pulled his gun and shot Parker in the mouth. Parker was carried over to Dr. Adams' place and Dorkiss was taken to jail. As Parker lay near death, Dorkiss was arrained in criminal court. Judge Yates, who has had dealings with Parker in the past, and also hated "dad gum it", told Dorkiss that he fully understood why Dorkiss had shot Parker. Yates ruled, "You can't go around shooting people sir. But under the situation at hand, I am prepared to drop the charges if you promise not to shoot anyone else for at least 30-days." "Well, your honor," Dorkiss replied, I won't as long as they don't say, "dad gum it"." The judge ruled in favor of Dorkiss and released him. Meanwhile, at Dr. Adams', the Doc said that this morning, Parker awoke briefly, sat up, looked around and said, "That stinkin' Dorkiss shot me, dad gum it!" Then he fell back onto the table dead.

Doctor & Dentist Offices ~

The only three story building in town is the medical offices of the doctor and the dentist. It was once a home in town but the medical men converted it.

It's also one of the only structures in town to have spouting. It the old copper type but some has fallen off. I need to get it repaired. When it rains the water comes down the downspout and fills the rain barrels. The doctors then have buckets of water to wash with.

Dr. G. Adams' office is on the first floor. Dr. Adams came from Dodge City, Kansas.

-

The doc's office is pretty complete. He can deliver babies plus remove bullets.

-

He has all kinds of medicines for anything that ails you. His motto is, "If I can't heal you, your gonna die." Yeh, no kidding!.

-

His office is pretty fancy. The window drapes came from a baudy house in St. Louis where he attended a medical convention. On the bookshelf is a fan that he bought. He's just waiting for electricity to come to town.

-

The doc's desk and chair is at the back of his office. Medical charts line the walls. The milkglass bowl and lid on the shelf over his desk is fill with suckers that he gives the kids when they come with a medical problem. Ike the Bounty Hunter gets a sucker too if he's good.

Cattle Rustlers Captured

Saturday, March 19, 1883

After three months of cattle rustling at area ranches, the gang of cattle thieves headed by Butch Cosby was captured on Thursday when they tried to rustle C.W. Miller's hurd of sheep. Three rustlers were wounded in a gunfight with lawmen. Ike the bounty hunter was shot in the left arm. When asked by a posse member if he was okay, he answered, "Sure! This bullet hole matches the one in my right arm." The gang was arrested and brought to jail. Butch Cosby was asked why he decided to steel sheep instead of cattle this time. He explained, "Well, cows are big and really dumb and their hides are rough and hard. But sheep, on the other hand are soft and fluffy. They remind me of pretty things, smooth things like big fluffy pillows. Ya know, I've had a lot of cowhide vests, boots, holsters and other things. What I really want is some nice, soft slippers and sweaters."

Dentist Office ~

If you go to the side of the building, and go up the stairs, you will be at the dentist office.

Dr. Ezeram Bevblurs is the dentist in town. He's German or Danish or something. Most Folks here simply call his Doctor B.

-

His claim is that he can extract teeth without pain. He can! He just fills you up with whiskey untill your numb. Otherwise, it hurts like hell.

-

This is the only building in town with a third floor. It's used only for storage of medical supplies.

-

The room is pretty bright and homey. But once your in that chair, who cares?

-

Doctor B has a telephone for emergencies.

-

-

There's a stuffed chicken on the back table. The doc said that it was a pet from his childhood. It lived 17 years and when it died he had it stuffed. Why?

-

The dentist's chair and stool. And the table with his medical drills and spit bowl.

-

As always there's a wood stove for heating water and for heating the room.

The bookends are made from two pieces of firewood. Hey, he needed bookends, ok?

Ike the bounty hunter Shoots Baby

Tuesday, September 17, 1883

It wasn't a real baby, but we got your attention, didn't we? A wagon train pulled into town yesterday afternoon and stopped on Market Street for supplies. As Ike the bounty hunter walked by, he took notice of a small china doll on the seat of one of the wagons looking at him. Ike told the toy to stop looking at him but it didn't so he fired his revolver and shattered it's little glass head. Seven year old Annie Haywood screamed, "My dollie, my dollie!" She began crying. Ike told sheriff Cogburn that the doll kept starring at him and he dosen't like anything with a face starring at him. But Ike felt bad making the little girl cry. So he went over to the dry goods store and got some burlap bags and stuffed them and tied them together and presented the girl with a new doll. Annie smiled and told Ike that it reminded her of her aunt Doris back in Pittsburg. It was short, fat and had really rough skin and smelled like old socks. Annie loved it.

Jake's Hardware Store ~

The Brady Block consists of four businesses. On the corner is Jake's Hardware Store.

Jake carries everything that is needed by homesteaders, ranchers, farmers, workers, miners, etc.

-

He carries pickett fencing, chainlink fencing, fruit crates...

-

...sawhorses and barrels.

-

-

Josh Brady is a wealthy farmer that had the block built.

-

Let's stop in and have a look around. You can see if there's anything you need while we're there.

-

Jake sells everything from nails to cookware.

-

Tar kegs sit on the floor in front of the counter.

-

Behind the counter are replacment globes for hurricane lamps. These get broke a lot around town and need to be replaced.

-

At the end of the counter is a showcase that hold gardening tools for the ladies who like to plant flowers around their homes.

-

-

There's a gumball machine for the little ones and the seeds for a vegatable garden.

-

Jake carried a good supply of buckets, brooms and hoses. Some artworks that he painted hang over the window. When Jake was about 12 years old, he was attacked and bitten by a dog. Later on he painted a portrait of the dog. It hangs in his store as a reminder to him to stay away from dogs.

On sale are woodburning stoves and wire for about any job.

-

Rope hangs over the front window and farming tools line the wall.

-

In the back of the store is a "new" invention called the ringer washing machine. No more washing clothes in a bucket.

-

But if you want to do it the old way, Jake still sells washboards.

-

A large wood stove in the center of the floor heats the store.

-

Oh yeh, one more thing...if you want to go out to the creek to pan for gold, Jake sells miner's pans too.

Peace Talks Held at Cactus Creek

Tuesday, May 18, 1884

The Wicapee indian tribe came to town last week for a peace pow-wow with General Harvey Broadstone of the U.S. Army and U.S. Senator, Roy Fletcher from President Grant's cabnet. The topic of the talks was peace between the red man and the white man. General Broadstone offered to give the indians 7,000 acres of prime buffalo hunting grounds in exchange for them signing a peace treaty. The new Chief of the Wicapees, Rain In The Face, who took over when the old chief accidently fell off the mountain last year while experiencing a vision, told the General, "NO! We kill whiteman!" Then Sen. Fletcher offered, in addition to the 7,000 acres, 500 horse as a special gift from President Grant. Again, Rain In The Face said, "NO! We kill whiteman!" Then Gen. Broadstone said that also, the army would give them 500 blankets and 200 head of cattle. Once more, the Chief stated, "NO! We kill whiteman!" Ike the bounty hunter was standing nearby and asked Gen. Broadstone if he could have a word with the Chief. Ike whispered in the Chief's ear, "Look here, you old sun baked savage! You take this offer or I'm gonna rip your stinkin' head off and crap down the hole!" With a big smile, the Chief looked at the General and Mr. Fletcher and asked, "Where do me sign?"

Mom's Bakery ~

If you getting sort of hungry, the next stop will brighten your day. Mom's Baking Co. is next door to the hardware store in the Brady Block.

-

Let's go in. But be careful, mom hates it when you stick your finger in the frosting on her cakes.

-

Once inside you feel like you've died and gone to sugar Heaven.

-

There are cakes, pies, cookies and candy everywhere. There's even a plate with bread on it so you can get a sample of her baking.

-

-

The showcase is jammed with cookies, fudge and chocolate bars.

-

Sacks of flour and sugar are delivered daily to keep up with demand.

-

In the back of the shop is Mom's kitchen. Her cook stove is going all day long.

-

The dough is rolled out for gingerbread men.

-

Bread dough in a big bowl is rising, There's that thing for icing cakes on the counter.

-

The copper sink has a hand pump for water. If you look closely under the sink you can see the drain going through the floor.

-

So, that's the bakery. Let's head back out. And wipe that chocolate off of you mouth.

The next store up the block on the next corner is a place that you don't see very often in the old west towns...

Man Builds Horseless Carriage

Sunday, December 5, 1884

With the reports of several people creating motorized carriages that do not need horses, a local man decided to try his hand at it. Taking his ideas from Carl Benz and another man, Henry Ford, Wilbur Cruthens bought a second-hand buggy from the town carriage works for $15.00 and spent the last three weeks working on it. Yesterday, the entire town showed up on Allen Street for the unvailing and when the sheet was pulled off, there it was...a standard buggy pulled by six normal house cats. When told that it was supposed to be motorized, Wilbur argued, "You didn't say that! You said it had to be horseless, and it is." Wilbur drove is "invention" around town all afternoon moving at a brisk pace of one mile an hour. Actually, he looked pretty stupid.

Max's Toy Store ~

...Max's Toy Store.

Max is a middle aged fellow about 35 or 36 years old. He's a really nice guy who loves kids. But the clothing he wears with the bright colors and the way he talk is a little strange to the folks in Cactus Creek. Plus, he's been seen blowing kisses to some of the men in town. Behind their backs ofcourse.

-

Max carries all the toys to make a child's life fun. A doll house, rocking horse, toy train and Teddy Bears.

-

A toy cannon, toy box and a chalkboard. Plus a wagon and a Ragady Ann doll.

-

Tricycle and a sled are in the window display.

-

Looking through the windows is a kid's delight.

-

Man Dies at Cactus Lil's Place

Saturday, November 25, 1887

Sheriff Cogburn was summoned to the house on Allen Street known as Cactus Lil's Place early this morning. In room #6, commonly known as "Betsy's Paradise Parlor", a local man named Tyron Phillips was found dead in bed. He was a regular customer...we mean guest, at Lil's place and spent most Friday nights there. When the sheriff arrived, the naked corpse was laying on his back and appeared to have died, a very happy man, several hours before. When told that they would have to send for the doctor to examine the body, Betsy said, "I'll get him! He's in room #9". Dr. Adams reported that Phillips had died of a heart attack brought on by stress to the body. Sheriff Cogburn said he would have to notify Judge Yates for legal reasons. Betsy said, "I'll get him! He's in room #3". The judge looked over the situation and told the sheriff that he would draw up the papers just as soon as he could find his pants. The body was removed to the undertaker's parlor later in the morning. The undertaker wasn't there so the sheriff said he'd try to find him. Betsy said, "I'll get him! He's in room #7". The undertaker arrived about 20-minutes later. He said later that he had to break a part of Phillips' body that was rigid so that the coffin lid would close. Plus it took about an hour to get the silly smile off of the dead man's face. A Side Note: Anyone looking for a large bed please contact Betsy. Bradley Swindell is the attorney around these parts. Some people around town has made a joke. They say if you take off the last "L" in Bradley's last name, it spells Swindel.

To get to Bradley's office, you have to go around the toy store and down the alley.

Bradley is young, around 28 years old, but he's an aggressive lawyer and wins most cases. He's worked on a lot of Ike the Bounty Hunter's law enforcement butality cases. And won them all.

Brad's Dayton Safe holds land deeds, wills, money and his bradmother's dentures. She willed them to him when she died.
